CONSIGNMENT AGREEMENT & TERMS

PLEASE READ BEFORE LEAVING YOUR ITEMS

By leaving merchandise with The Resale Boutique for consignment, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to the terms and conditions of our Consignment Agreement outlined below. Leaving your items with us constitutes your acceptance of these terms.

1. DROP-OFF & PROCESSING

Consignment items may be dropped off during our regular business hours. Items are not reviewed or processed at the time of drop-off.

  • Please allow up to 30 days for accepted items to be processed and entered into your consignor account.

  • Drop-offs are limited to 25 items at a time unless arrangements are made with us in advance.

  • Please bring items neatly folded in paper bags or on hangers that we may keep.

  • Please do not bring items in boxes or plastic totes.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF MERCHANDISE

The Resale Boutique determines which items are accepted based on brand, style, age, condition, season, customer demand and our current inventory needs.

Our focus is on current, premium, designer and boutique-quality clothing, shoes and handbags.

Leaving merchandise with us does not guarantee that all items will be accepted for consignment.

3. ITEMS WE DO NOT ACCEPT

Any items we do not accept for consignment will automatically be donated. They will not be held or available for pickup.

By leaving your items with us, you acknowledge that you are comfortable having any items we do not accept donated.

A tax-donation receipt may be provided upon request.

4. CONSIGNMENT PERIOD

Standard merchandise will remain on consignment for 90 days.

Select designer, specialty or higher-value merchandise may be kept longer at the discretion of The Resale Boutique. We may also list select merchandise through our online selling channels.

At the end of the applicable consignment period, unsold standard merchandise becomes the property of The Resale Boutique and will not be returned to the consignor.

At our discretion, these items may continue to be offered for sale, with proceeds belonging to The Resale Boutique, or may be donated.

5. PRICING, MARKDOWNS & PROMOTIONS

The Resale Boutique determines the selling price of all merchandise based on factors such as brand, condition, style, demand and current resale value.

Merchandise may be marked down, discounted or included in store promotions and sales at our discretion.

The consignor's percentage is calculated from the actual final selling price.

6. CONSIGNMENT SPLIT

Our standard consignment split is:

40% to the Consignor
60% to The Resale Boutique

The consignor's 40% share is calculated from the final selling price after applicable discounts, markdowns or promotions.

7. ONLINE CONSIGNOR ACCOUNT

Accepted merchandise, sales and available balances may be viewed through your online Consignor Account.

There is a $2 monthly account access fee while you have active consignment items. This fee is automatically deducted from your consignor account balance.

8. PAYMENTS & STORE CREDIT

Payments are available after the 10th of each month for merchandise sold during the previous month or earlier.

You may:

  • Pick up your check at The Resale Boutique at no charge.

  • Request to have your check mailed for a $1 mailing fee.

  • Use your available consignor balance as store credit at any time.

9. UNCLAIMED BALANCES

Consignor balances must be collected or used within one year of becoming available.

Any balance remaining unclaimed after one year will be forfeited and become the property of The Resale Boutique.

It is the consignor's responsibility to monitor their account and collect or use their available balance.

10. OWNERSHIP & AUTHENTICITY

By leaving merchandise with The Resale Boutique, you confirm that you are the lawful owner of the merchandise or have the legal right to consign it.

You also confirm that merchandise you consign is authentic and is not knowingly counterfeit, replica or stolen merchandise.

11. LOSS OR DAMAGE

The Resale Boutique will make reasonable efforts to care for merchandise while it is in our possession.

Merchandise is left at the consignor's risk. The Resale Boutique is not responsible for loss or damage resulting from theft, fire, water damage or other circumstances outside of our reasonable control.

YOUR DROP-OFF IS YOUR AGREEMENT

By leaving items with The Resale Boutique, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to our current Consignment Agreement & Terms.

This includes your understanding that:

  • Items we do not accept will be donated and will not be returned.

  • Standard merchandise remaining after the applicable consignment period becomes the property of The Resale Boutique.

  • You will receive 40% of the final selling price of your consigned merchandise.

  • The Resale Boutique determines pricing and may apply markdowns, discounts and promotions.

  • A $2 monthly account access fee applies while you have active consignment items.

  • Consignor balances must be collected or used within one year.

Leaving your merchandise with The Resale Boutique constitutes your acceptance of these terms.
